This bill ensures that survivors of rape or incest will be provided with information about and access to emergency contraception in all Wisconsin emergency rooms. Besides making EC available, this bill protects survivors’s rights through educating victims on their right to report the assault and provides information to the survivor about resources like the Sexual Assault Nurse Examiners (SANE) that can help gather evidence to pursue legal actions.
